Friends of National Service Awards

June 8, 2022 – Washington, DC

Since 2005, Voices for National Service has hosted the Friends of National Service Awards in Washington, D.C. This annual celebration brings national service champions together to recognize leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who have contributed to building a culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility throughout America.

Over the years, this event has honored over 150 distinguished leaders in government, business, philanthropy, and journalism. The honorees are selected for their work in helping to raise public awareness of national service and for elevating service as a solution to some of the nation’s most pressing challenges.

Every year, this widely attended event has a powerful bipartisan tone and it is a testament to the breadth of support for national service across many sectors. At a time when our country and our communities seem so divided, this awards celebration consistently demonstrates that national service has the power to bring people together.
