Prior to joining Voices for National Service, Amanda worked for the National Women’s Law Center, combining online and offline tactics to create compelling and effective advocacy campaigns on issues impacting women and families. She has also served as a staffer for Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, helping advance legislation on health care and education. At the University of Michigan, Amanda worked with students in a program focused on service-learning, civic engagement, and dialogue. An AmeriCorps alum, Amanda learned firsthand the pivotal and powerful role that national service plays in shaping the lives of young people and the communities they serve.
