This year, the national service community showed extraordinary resilience, unity, and leadership. In the face of significant disruptions and unprecedented uncertainty, your voice helped ensure that communities could continue to count on AmeriCorps.
This community sent more than 115,000 messages and made thousands of phone calls to Congress urging support for AmeriCorps. You engaged members of Congress directly, shared what was at stake for your programs and communities, and helped elevate the national conversation. There were nearly 8,000 media stories making the case that national service is essential to communities across the country.
And it worked. With strong bipartisan support, AmeriCorps was fully funded in FY25, ensuring that critical resources reached communities, and AmeriCorps members continued to serve. Despite a challenging year, the vital service of AmeriCorps continued, because this community stood up for it.
