Nominations for the Friends of National Service Awards

Has your member of Congress been a standout champion for national service?

Do you know a business leader or national service advocate in your community who has gone above and beyond to support AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors?

Voices for National Service is seeking nominations for the Friends of National Service Awards 2023.

Over the years, this annual event has honored 150 distinguished leaders in government, business, philanthropy, and journalism — leaders who have contributed to building a culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility within America.

To submit a nomination, complete the web form below. The nomination period will close on September 30th.

Up to ten winners will be selected for their work in helping to raise public awareness of national service or for elevating service as a solution to some of the nation’s most pressing challenges. The honorees will be recognized in Washington, D.C. on March 1st, 2023.

  • Before selecting an award category, please review the complete list of awards, their descriptions, and the previous award winners (USE LINK AT TOP OF THIS PAGE).
  • To nominate someone, please submit a written statement describing your nominee’s contributions, achievements, and the rationale for why this individual should be selected as the award recipient. Please highlight the nominee’s professional, personal, and/or volunteer activities, the issues they have address or projects pursued, the short and long-term impact of their leadership, and how the national service network and the communities they serve have been impacted by the nominee’s work.
