Jitey Ikuku, Public Policy and Communications Intern

Jitey Ikuku is a Spring 2024 Public Policy and Communications Intern at City Year and Voices for National Service from Houston, TX. Currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Sociology at Howard University, she serves as the Head of Community Service for Models of the Mecca, one of Howard’s largest on-campus organizations. Jitey dedicates herself to forging meaningful connections between the Howard student body and the DC community. Additionally, she is an ambassador for both Howard University’s and her hometown’s Women’s Centers. With aspirations for a career in the legal field and a passion for advocating for underserved communities, Jitey aims to leverage her internship experience to gain professional insights and deepen her understanding of policy.
