The Friends of National Service Awards return to Washington, DC on May 13, 2026!

Each year, the Friends of National Service Awards celebrate individuals who have elevated AmeriCorps and national service as a powerful, proven solution to some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. This widely attended, bipartisan event brings together changemakers from across the political spectrum and from the public, nonprofit, and private sectors – demonstrating that service remains a unifying idea across the nation.

National service continues to stand as a shared value – strengthening communities, fostering civic responsibility, and reminding us that progress is possible when we work together. The Awards serve as both a celebration of bipartisan leadership and a reaffirmation of our commitment to a culture of service in America.

As our flagship event, the Friends of National Service Awards brings national service champions together to honor elected officials and leaders who have helped build and sustain that culture.
