For Congress, summer recess is just around the corner-but that doesn’t mean all sandy beaches and barbecues. In fact, August recess is one of the best times for you to get to know your members of Congress and their staff when they’re back home.

We’ve made important progress this year in protecting national service funding, but this summer is a critical time to keep the pressure on Congress to expand investments in AmeriCorps and Senior Corps. That’s why we’re asking the Voices community to meet with your members of Congress and their staff-these meetings are a powerful tool for educating lawmakers about the impact of national service in your community.
